Let's speculate what kind of trends you wish to see happen in 2022 contest (song, performance, national selection, etc.)!

As example, with five entries in the top 10 being in/containing non-English language, I wish broadcasters are even more encouraged to send songs in languages other than English (withouh sacrificing quality, of course).

I want and expect two things - more songs sung in languages other than English and genre diversity. There will be more "edgy" entries ie rock, metal or pop-rock (anything rock-related in general) given how good these two of 2021 scored and I am all for it. What I don't want and what will probably stay are pre-recorded back vocals.

This is also probable! Out of all the top 10, Maneskin (1st), Gagnamagnid (4th), Go_A (5th), Blind Channel (6th), and The Roop (8th) are all bands! Good observation!

For sure, that could either steer the yasss kweeen bottoms away or open up their chutes due to the amount of testosterones.

I hope we will see a revival in use of native languages... although I find your last comment peculiar (almost implying that English somehow generally means more quality, which I think isn't really true seeing that all native language entries, bar Spain, in 2021 were quality in their own right wheres English language ones were more mixed).

I hope we will see a revival in use of native languages... although I find your last comment peculiar (almost implying that English somehow generally means more quality, which I think isn't really true seeing that all native language entries, bar Spain, in 2021 were quality in their own right wheres English language ones were more mixed).

I hope it doesn't come across as discriminative towards non-English songs, but I do imply it's gonna be easier to find a masterpiece in 1000 English submissions compared to 100 Albanian or 100 Spanish ones for example. I realized I've used the wrong phrasing here.
