Four artists down and 44 to go! Today it’s Latvia’s turn to have their dreams fulfilled! Who did you want to see singing for the Baltic nation in 2016?

There was little competition for the Latvian songstress MNTHA who romped to victory and is your dream participant for Latvia! The unusual style of performance by her alienated many when she participated in Supernova 2015, vying to sing for Latvia in Vienna, but also won her many fans. “Nefelibata” reached the selection’s final but finished last.

Despite this, her blue cropped hair and standoffish, insular performance tactics caught the eye of many on our forum and website and her return to Supernova in 2016 would be welcomed strongly by many!

Second in our poll of readers was the equally forum-favoured Riga Beaver who caught the attention and imagination of many during its(?) cult appearances during Supernova 2015. DJ Ella and former Eirodziesma participants Samanta Tina and Mad Show Boys were joint third.

The full suggestions for Latvia include (ties in random order);

MNTHA, Riga Beaver, Ella, Samanta Tina, Mad Show Boys, Katie Stelmanis, Brainstorm, Ralfs Eilands, Dons, Trianas Parks, Aminata, Audience Killers

The Dream Team so far:

  • Turkey – Gülşen
  • Armenia – Lilit Hovhannisyan
  • Czech Republic – Lenka Dusilová and Baromantika
  • San Marino – Valentina Monetta
  • Latvia – MNTHA

We don’t stop for weekends! Tomorrow we find out who you want to see participating for Belarus!
