The latest country to confirm their participation in Czech Republic, who’s TV station announced today that they will take part in the 2017 contest in Kiev.

The TV station have also began accepting songs for 2017, which includes songs penned by international writers. Jan Potměšil who is in charge of selecting the Czech song for Kiev stated “I am convinced that the widest opening song selection is all the way to higher quality”. Song submissions will run until the 20th of November!

Czech Republic made their debut at Eurovision in 2007 and made their debut in the final in 2016 in Stockholm, when Gabriela took to the stage with “I stand”, ending in 25th position, gaining 41 points from the jury and nil points from the televote.
