On December 2012, Hardware bar has teamed up with Israelis Gilad Mandelboim and Itai Eithan Shamir to reinvent and spice up the night scene in New York with a European vibe, and to present New Yorkers with Europhoria – A Eurovision monthly night, every second Monday of the month. This new Europhorian trend has been well received by both Americans and Euro-Foreigners, who have been dancing, and raising their flags (and some other flags) every second Monday of the month.

Europhoria: Eurovision Grand Finale Live Viewing Party

Europhoria will be hosting the biggest Eurovision viewing party in North America. Whether it’s your first Eurovision or your 20th, you don’t want to miss this! Eurovision is as exciting as the super bowl, as fun as American Idol, and as extraordinary as the Olympics. Join the celebration and find out who will be this year’s winner! Plus, live special drag commentary, a raffle for a chance to win a free ticket to Israel, and a chance to win a Eurovision Cruise from Helsinki to Tallinn in a deluxe cabin. Eurovision virgins-friendly!

This new nightlife trend will introduce new up-beat dance music, as well as powerful ballads from the greatest and most talented European performers. Traditionally, each Eurovision act uses the 3 minutes it’s been given to show powerful vocals, colorful staging, great chorography and some fun gimmicks! Throughout the long history of Eurovision, we’ve seen drag queens, transsexuals, flight attendants, pirates, sailors, monsters, and many hotties and divas.

This contest launched a music career to many artists such as Abba, Celine Dion, France Gall, Olivia Newton John, Ofra Haza, Cliff Richards, Julio Iglesias, Katrina and the Waves, and many more.

The Eurovision Song is an annual competition held among many of the active member countries of the European Broadcasting Union. Each member country submits a song to be performed on live television and radio and then casts votes for the other countries’ songs to determine the most popular song in the competition. It is one of the longest running TV programs in the world! It is also one of the most watched non-sporting events in the world, with audience figures having been quoted in recent years as anything between 100 million and 600 million internationally. More than 1,200 songs already took part in the Eurovision Song Contest. Most winning songs were performed in English.

It has been described by some of the fans as “The love child of American Idol with the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics, assuming that child was injected with speed, educated in international social politics, festooned in sequins, and brought to a pride parade”

In addition, all participants are invited to enter a raffle to win a roundtrip ticket to Israel with EL AL Israel Airlines. The runner up will win a luxurious Eurovision cruise from Helsinki (Finland) to Tallinn (Estonia) in a deluxe cabin, courtesy of OGAE Finland. Winners will be announced in May!
