Sudden Junior Eurovision Song Contest news released today, but the contest is getting closer and closer. It was actually a double announcement from San Marino, but since we’re missing details, we’ll mainly focus on the Junior Eurovision related part.
San Marino ready for Junior Eurovision
At this moment, we’re still missing specific details from the upcoming host nation and broadcaster of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. It is still unknown how many will even participate in Tbilisi, Georgia later this year. One thing is certain however, and that is San Marino will absolutely compete.
The small landlocked state, announced earlier today, that Martina Crv had been selected as the representative of the country. Not only that, but we’ve even gotten a title as well, and we know that the title of the song will be “Beyond the Stars“.
Unfortunately, the song has however, not been released as of yet, but it shouldn’t be a long wait, since there is only 3 months until the contest takes place, so it should be made available soon, in the near future.
The young artist, whose full name is Martina Cervellin, has already shown her talents. She’s only 12 years old, but has already proved herself, by being named “Best European Junior Singer” at the 2024 Tour Music Fest and also managed to reach the semi-final stage of The Voice Kids – Italy.
This will be San Marino’s fifth attempt at the juniors edition, having participated in 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2024.
In 2024, the small country of San Marino picked the girl group known as Idols SM, with their song “Come Noi“. Sadly, despite picking up 47 points, the girl group still finished last, when the contest was held in Madrid, Spain.
