This Balkan nation might be fighting for staying in the competition, but they are surely giving it all they got, because earlier today, Montenegrin broadcaster (RTCG) finally decided to reveal, who would be participating in the upcoming national selection.

Montesong 2025 – Participants

Montesong, the national final which made it’s debut last year, will once again return as the selection method for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest. The show will remain mostly the same from last year, but with some minor changes to the format. Probably the only directly visible change at first, would be that only 15 acts will perform this year, compared to the 16 from last year.

Let’s quickly just have a look at who the participants are, then go into further details: (alphabetical order)

  • Andrea Demirović — “I believe
  • Baryak — “Minerva
  • Dolce Hera — “Casanova 91
  • Đurđa — “Dominos
  • Krstinja Matanović — “Oli oli
  • Lana Vukčević & Đorđe Savković — “Temperatura
  • Lana Lopičić — “Doline
  • Lara Baltić — “Rhythm boy
  • Luka Radović — “Pjevaj vilo
  • Majda Božović — “Ipak smo ljudi
  • Mila Nikić — “Kao varnica
  • Neno Murić — “Ako čuješ glas
  • Stefan Vukotić — “Nedekodirana
  • Tamara Živković — “Nova zora
  • Tina Džankić — “Shadows

It’s important to note, that the songs have not been released yet, but are expected to be made available to the public, sometime in early December. A further look into the list of participants, one name does stick out the most, which would be Andrea Demirović, who represented Montenegro at the song contest all the way back in 2009, with the song “Just Get Out of My Life“. However, she also participated in the Montenegrin selection back in 2019, where she finished 3rd out of 5 participants.

In the list of participants, we do also find participants from last year as well, these include Baryak – who finished 3rd, Dolce Hera – who finished shared last, Đurđa – who finished 4th, Luka Radović – who finished 13th, Tamara Živković – who finished 9th and was a reserve entry and Tina Džankić – who finished 7th.

The reason for the songs being released in early December, is also due to that artists now have about one month to finalize their songs, since some of the submissions were demos. It’s also been announced, that in case of a withdrawal, which happened last year, there are two entries that are ready as reserve entries, and will be used in case of a withdrawal among the original 15 selected acts. However, the two entries have not been made public as of this moment.

This year, global viewers will also have a say in the final results, when the final takes place on the 21st of December 2025.

For 2025, Nina Žižić was selected as the Montenegrin representative, despite not winning the national final. She performed the song “Dobrodošli” and could only secure her nation a total of 12 points in the semi-final, which all came from Serbia. Ultimately finishing last in her semi-final.
