Only 2 spots are missing, and with this announcement, there’s only 1 spot left. Armenia fills in the second last spot, by announcing their participant, which has fallen upon young Albert.
Armenia in JESC 2025
Usually, Armenia are among the nations that normally select their entry internally, with the occasional chance for a national final, but that wasn’t the case this year either. Instead, Albert who’s full name is Albert Armenakyan, has been selecting by Armenian broadcaster (ARMTV) to be their singer in neighboring country, Georgia.
This young child does have quite the journey, for him to have been selected for this task, since this young singer also participated in the closed auditions as well in 2023 and 2024. Third time became the charm indeed, and it probably has also helped that Albert did take part in The Voice Kids – France earlier this year, where he reached the final, coached by none other, than Patrick Fiori, who represented France in 1993.
Regarding his selection, the young singer did say the following about his selection:
- “I am very happy to represent Armenia at the Junior Eurovision. Dreams really do come true; you just have to always believe they will, with your whole heart. Singing on the big Junior Eurovision stage has been my greatest dream and today it is reality. It’s a great honour, and at the same time a great responsibility, and I’m ready for it. I promise to do everything to represent my country in the best possible way and I can’t wait to meet all the other artists in Tbilisi.“
Details on Albert‘s song are still unknown, but are expected to be revealed in due time, whenever preparation for the release are fully done.
While we wait, then here’s a reminder that last year Armenia was represented by Leo and his song “Cosmic Friend“. In the long run, Armenia could add another top 10 placement to their collection, a 8th place to be exact, after gathering 125 points.
Do #YOU see Armenia having a good shot at success this year and what kind of style do #YOU hope Albert will bring to the stage?
