Vidbir 2025 Creative Producer German Nenov has revealed that this year’s Ukrainian national final will be modeled after the Eurovision Song Contest itself.
According to Nenov, the broadcast will include familiar features such as a green room located within the audience, as well as individualized artist postcards: “We want to introduce you to these artists so that you not only watch their performances and vote during the selection, but also support their work on streaming platforms,” he explained.
Speaking during a press conference on Thursday in which the competing songs were released, Nenov called Vidbir “a moment of unity for the country,” stating that the national selection’s goal was “to showcase the uniqueness of Ukrainian music and prove that our creative industry deserves global recognition.”
The Vidbir 2025 jury, selected through public vote, is comprised of Eurovision alumni Jamala (2016) and Kateryna Pavlenko (2021), alongside singer Serhiy Tanchynets. Although the three hosts have not yet been announced, Suspilne has indicated that fans can expect even more familiar faces.
Vidbir 2025 will take place on Saturday, February 8 at 17:30 CET. The 10 competing artists will perform in the following running order:
- Vlad Sheriff – “Winds of Change”
