It’s been a long journey for the small state of San Marino, so long that the best way to sum it all up is by mentioning the following: Audition, special rules, dropouts applying, delays, semi-final and final announced, semi-final and finals delays, name and branding change, over 200 semi-finalists, results spoiled ahead of time and such much more.

San Marino Song Contest

The show also saw Al Bano being awarded a “Lifetime Achievement Award” at the beginning of the show, as well as La Rappresentante di Lista performing as an interval act.

Results

Since we’re dealing with San Marino, this national final was purely decided by a special selected jury. All 20 finalists were revealed were they had finished, but without a final score, with just the placement being revealed.

In the end, the top 5 of the juries were as follow:

  1. Gabry Ponte – “Tutta L’Italia
  2. The Rumpled – “You Get Me So High
  3. Teslenko – “Storm
  4. Elasi – “Lorella
  5. Boosta – “BTW

It will now be Gabry Ponte‘s task to bring San Marino back into the grand final, when he represents the small country in Basel, in the first semi-final, which will take place on the 13th of May 2025.
