Albania will become the first country to reveal their song for Eurovision 2021 tonight as the final of the annual Festivali i Këngës selection show takes place from 21:00 CET at the open-air Sheshi Italia, in Tirana, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This change will also see the first year of the competition without the traditional symphony orchestra as a result.

The selection has already seen two high-quality nights of performances with a field of 25 artists reduced to 18 qualifiers, all of which will perform their entries one more time in tonight’s show.

The show will be hosted by Albanian actress Jonida Vokshi and television presenter Blendi Salaj.

The final 18 acts taking part in tonight’s show are;

  • Gjergj Kaçinari – Më jep jetë
  • Inis Neziri – Pendesë
  • Kamela Islamaj – Kujtimet s’kanë formë
  • Kastro Zizo – Vallja e jetës
  • Mirud – Nëse vdes
  • Orgesa Zaimi – Valixhja e kujtimeve
  • Rosela Gjylbegu – Vashëzo
  • Sardi Strugaj – Kam me t’ba me kajt
  • Viktor Tahiraj – Nënë
  • Wendi Mancaku – Ves i shpirtit im
  • Xhesika Polo – Më mbron

The result of tonight’s show will be decided by the assembled jury, with the winner being selected as the Albanian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam next spring.
