The third semi-final from the popular Swedish national selection Melodifestivalen will continue this Saturday. Ahead of the competition, SVT has released some details about the entries which will participate next Saturday, which #YOU can find below!
- Martin Almgren – A bitter lullaby
The 2015 Idol winner will open the night. A very light backdrop together with a lighting wall is expected on stage. According to Christer Björkman, this song is a bulky suggestive midempop that grows while Martin Almgren say that this is a mellow song with a strong and hopeful melody that gives a feeling of fighting.

2. Barbi Escobar – Stark
Barbi Escobar is a debut in this competition. Daniel Koivunen, Kenny Lantz, Lisa Arnold, Keisha von Arnold, Johanna Bohm Hermansson are the dancers. Black and white, with red accent light backdrop, smoke and sharp shadows shall feature on stage. Christer Björkman says that this entry is about strong Swedish girls while Barbi says that it’s a tune-up with a little pop with urban influences

3. Moncho – Cuba Libre
Moncho will also debut in this competition. Together with him on stage we shall see Lisa Arnold, Keisha von Arnold, Felicia Maurice, Ann Mirro, Alina Bjerkland & Fatou Bah as dancers. Christer Björkman describes this entry as joy, a little rap, latino and lovely while Moncho says that his song is it’s a happy fast-paced song with lots of energy and joy and dance. The style is a mix of soca, reggaaton and hip hop.

Jessica Andersson is another artist who is coming back to Melodifestivalen. Åsa Engman, Sandra Koffner, Therese Nelson, Nathalie Rosenberg will be dancing during this entry. Glitter & fans are expected on stage. According to Christer Björkman says that the song is in tune. She has done ballads lately, but this is a real party time, a scorer. And she sings in a different way, actually. Jessica says that this isa happy modern uptempopopschlager. The song that she want people to confirm before they go out.

5. Kalle Moraeus & Orsa Spelmän – Min dröm
Kalle Moraeus is back to Melodifestivalen after 8 years. Daniel Koivunen, Kenny Lantz, Lisa Arnold & Anna Moraeus shall join Kalle and Orsa as dancers. A dawn-daylight backdrop and flower arches shall be on stage. According to Christer Björkman this is really Kalle, just what you expect, and that’s great. Kalle says that it’s a song that is deeply rooted in Swedish folk music with clear insights of violins

An interesting fact about Dotter is that she is was of the song writers of last year’s Mariette’s entry, A million years. According to Christer Björkman it’s an incredibly modern, cool pop ballad. Dotter says that she got the song when it finished and went in and changed the melody so that it really would be “me”.

7.Méndez – Everyday
Mendez returns to Melodifestivalen after 15 years. Daniel Koivunen, Vicky Pérez, Felicia Maurice, Marlene Lindahl, Jennifer Wallin & Niklas Arleryd shall be his dancers on stage. A very golden backdrop and smoke are expected during this entry. Christer Björkman comments that Moncho with “Cuba Libre” moves in the same genre and battles a bit against Mendez while Mendez states that it’s Latin and a little romance. It’s an explosion of Latin American rhythms, he usually describe it as Latin America meets Europe. It makes you dance and fall in love, you get rid of it.
