The Slovenian national final EMA is getting closer. We continue to bring you exclusive interviews for you to meet the participants. Today we had a chat with Anabel who will be one of the youngest to compete to become the next representative of this Balkan state, and #YOU can see what she had to say below!

Hi Anabel!

Thank you for your time with us today. Can you please tell us who Anabel is in just two sentences?

In four words Anabel is a vocal, music, positive and simplicity. She is known as the youngest most played artist on Slovenian radio stations in 2017 and known as a big fan of good coffee!

When and why did you decided to apply for EMA?

Me and my team decided that we would enter a few days after winning the Pop Rock festival on our national television. We thought that it could be the next step in my career. You can’t imagine how excited I am about performing my next single at EMA, on the most watched TV show in our country.

What can you tell us about your EMA song?

It is my second single and it’s called “Positivity”. It’s such a great song as we caught good vibrations and I get in a better mood every time I listen to the song – that is what this song is all about.

What is your first Eurovision memory?

My first Eurovision moment that I can remember was when I was around 8 years old when me and my twin brother danced in front of the television to Eurovision songs and we both fell in love right away. Since then, it was our tradition to watch Eurovision every year.

Your favorite Eurovision song?

My favorite song is Amambanda from Treble. The thing that was so interesting for me is that they made up a language just for this one song. It is really funky and that is what I like the most about it.

What is a typical day like for you?

I wake up at about 6 AM because I have to go to school. It lasts almost the whole day and I come home at around 3 PM, when I take a quick nap to refresh my mind and because I am a person who is really productive at night I write music and do school work then. Usually my day ends at about 12 AM when I go to bed.

Would you be so kind to tell us something interesting about yourself, something that isn’t widely known?

My favorite food is broccoli, hahaha!

Do you have any message for the Eurovision fans all around the world?

Love always wins. No matter the race, colour, religion or sex. Eurovision is all about love so embrace it.

We would like to thank Anabel for her time talking to us and wish her the best of luck in EMA this year!

Is Anabel one of your favorites? #YOU can tell us in comments below and on social media, or join the discussion on our forum right HERE!
