It’s been a whirlwind week for Salvador Sobral, the modest performer who stormed last weekend’s Eurovision Song Contest. Since his triumph many have compared him to being a national hero and he was heralded back to Lisbon by thousands of thankful Portuguese fans at the airport. Now that the dust has settled on the contest and we continue to pick up the pieces, it’s back to action for Salvador as he continues his tour in support of his album Excuse Me.
Tonight, Portugal’s latest star will perform at the Festival Confluências, a traditional festival of arts and music held today in Obras do Fidaldo, Marco de Canaveses, east of Porto, as the first of three dates he will perform in Portugal in May. He will also be performing in Cartaxo on May 26th and Ovar on May 27th.
Details on the event can be found HERE.
Salvador has not yet announced any further plans to tour following the end of the Excuse Me tour in August. Perhaps a national final tour beckons from September onwards? We sure hope so!
