Trijntje changed from this dress to something less controversial, but the Netherlands take Barbara Dex nonetheless

The annual Barbara Dex Award, given to the act voted to have the worst costume on the Eurovision stage, has been awarded this year to the Netherlands’ Trijntje Oosterhuis.

Despite changing from a controversial dress to a less unusual catsuit affair could not stop the country overwhelmingly winning the voting with over 25% of the votes. Bojana Stamenov from Serbia was second by a long way, with the United Kingdom’s Electro Velvet in 3rd.

Trijntje's performance saw her veiled eyes in an extreme close-up during the intro.
