We have finally reached the 4th week of the weekly “XOW” and with that we now have had the chance to hear all 36 songs that are in contention to represent the island nation for the 2024 edition, which will be held in Malmö, Sweden. Let’s have a quick look at the last 9 for now.

Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024 – XOW Week 4

For the 4th and very last time, we got to witness the talent of 9 more hopeful singers, who are doing what it takes to represent Malta at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. The weekly program “XOW” – (pronounced as “show”, to those who aren’t familiar with Maltese) – has now aired it’s 4th batch of songs, and now we know that one of the 36 songs will be the Maltese representative.

Tonight’s last 9 acts were as follow: (sorted by running order)

  • Erba’ – “Sirena”
  • Miriana Conte – “Venom”
  • Christian Arding – “Bellus”
  • Lisa Gauci – “Breathe”
  • Matt Blxck – “Banana”
  • Martina Cutajar – “Miles Away”
  • Greta Tude – “Topic(Bla Bla)”
  • Ryan Hili – “Karma”
  • Kyle George – “Arrows”

Tonight’s entertainment also included a warm-up by none other than Claudia Faniello, who represented Malta at the contest in 2017, with the song “Breathlessly“. Opening the voting as well tonight, was also done by none other than Yulan Law, who will represent Malta at the Junior contest very soon, even giving viewers an a cappella version of her entry.

Of course, the competitors of tonight also had to entertain the viewers, as per usual, and this week, we saw some of them tasked with performing certain songs, in a certain style. In other words, imagine someone acting like Elvis and performing “Baby Shark”, which now is indeed a thing.

Anyhow, now all we can do, as well as the artists, is to wait until next week, when we will finally learn which 12 acts will progress to the next face, and which of them will have a busy winter, preparing for the national final, which is set to be held in January 2024.

That is all 36 songs in, who did #YOU have as favorite from tonight and who do #YOU think is going to represent Malta?
Let’s hear from #YOU on our forum site right HERE, or visit us on Facebook, X(Twitter), Instagram, Youtube, TikTok and Discord.
