As we look ahead to the last heat of Pabandom iš naujo, we were fortunate enough to interview Lolita Zero! Learn more about the mysterious artist that is Lolita Zero, discover the meaning of the horns, and hear how excited they are about their song this year.

Hello there Lolita! Thank you all for taking some time to speak with me, I really appreciate it! For those who are encountering you and your music for the first time, why don‘t you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m not your mother to answer who I am. 😀 And this is the name of my new song by the way.

I think a lot of our readers would be interested to learn how Lolita Zero first came to be. Would you care to tell us about your origin story and how those iconic horns first came about?

The horns are made for everyone who doesn’t support THE COMMUNITY. I took my horns in a movie called “Zero3”, I took my horns in Eurovision 5 years ago. I am carrying my horns until people change and they go to a dance floor with NO names, with NO sex, with NO sh*t. Work bitch, as I say in my song.

I did a little bit of research on you, and noticed that you’re also a choreographer, a director, an actor, and the founder of the Gytis Ivanauskas Theater. How do you balance all of these roles on top of preparing for the Pabandom iš naujo pre-selection?

The best balance is standing on 30cm high-heels…  🙂

Of course, the last time you participated in the Lithuanian national final in 2017 you finished 3rd in the televote and 4th overall with your song “Get Frighten”. Did you expect your song to be that successful and popular or was it a complete surprise?

Just wait for me coming on stage THIS year!!! You will be wow’ed!!! Promise!

And for this year, your song for Pabandom iš naujo is titled “Not Your Mother”. Can you tell us a bit more about the message of your song?

As I say in the song – “Work bitch, I’m not your mother” – that explains a lot. You have to work on yourself, make your diamond leave you and get dancing on the dance floor.

What can we expect to see on the stage this year? Will it be more props and back-up dancers, or are you planning to take a completely different route?

Don’t want to spoil things… This will be the new me and the new age!

And of course, I have to ask….will any watermelons be harmed during this year’s performance?

Question again….. 😀

Last question – is there any message you’d want to share with the ESCUnited readers?

Vote for the revolution!

Well Lolita, I want thank you so much for taking some time for us and we wish you the best of luck during Pabandom iš naujo!
