One of the most important events for each Eurovision season is the allocation draw, in which the participating countries find out which semi-final they will take part in in Lisbon! It was held earlier today and it brought some interesting results!

The event started with the traditional symbolic exchange of the host city key (known as the insignia). Started way back in Helsinki, each past host city adds an element to host city key, and Kyiv added their symbol.

The draw was hosted by two of our hosts for Lisbon 2018, Sílvia Alberto and Filomena Cautela.

The countries performing in the first half of the first semi-final on May 8th are:

  • 🇧🇾 Belarus
  • 🇧🇬 Bulgaria
  • 🇱🇹 Lithuania
  • 🇦🇱 Albania
  • 🇨🇿 Czech Republic
  • 🇧🇪 Belgium
  • 🇮🇸 Iceland
  • 🇦🇿 Azerbaijan
  • 🇮🇱 Israel
  • 🇪🇪 Estonia

And in the second half we have:

  • 🇨🇭 Switzerland
  • 🇫🇮 Finland
  • 🇦🇹 Austria
  • 🇮🇪 Ireland
  • 🇦🇲 Armenia
  • 🇨🇾 Cyprus
  • 🇭🇷 Croatia
  • 🇬🇷 Greece
  • 🇲🇰 Macedonia (FYR)

United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal will vote in the first semifinal.

The following countries will perform in the second semifinal on May 11th, and they are:

  • 🇷🇺 Russia
  • 🇷🇸 Serbia
  • 🇩🇰 Denmark
  • 🇷🇴 Romania
  • 🇦🇺 Australia
  • 🇳🇴 Norway
  • 🇲🇩 Moldova
  • 🇸🇲 San Marino
  • 🇳🇱 The Netherlands

And in the second half we have:

  • 🇲🇪 Montenegro
  • 🇸🇪 Sweden
  • 🇭🇺 Hungary
  • 🇲🇹 Malta
  • 🇱🇻 Latvia
  • 🇬🇪 Georgia
  • 🇵🇱 Poland
  • 🇸🇮 Slovenia
  • 🇺🇦 Ukraine

Italy (by request), France, Germany will vote in the second semifinal.
