2-grid

Work has begun on this year’s staging for the Eurovision Song Contest as Globen Arena is set to be transformed for Europe’s biggest event.

As revealed in a blog post by M&M Production Management who are overseeing the construction of the stage, the first two trucks filled with rigging equipment arrived at Stockholm’s Globen Arena today with the first constructions of rigging completed earlier.

The production team will continue to update fans worldwide on the construction process with daily blog posts. Make sure you check out the progress HERE.

The stage this year sees a more rigid and angular construction in comparison to the previous stage in Vienna and many of the recent Eurovision stages. A mock up for the eventual stage design of this year’s contest can be seen below as revealed weeks ago.
