Million Lights to be performed by Shalisa for The Netherlands in Junior Eurovision

This weekend we have seen two countries select their songs for Sofia for this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. One of which being The Netherlands, who selected Shalisa and her song “Million Lights”.

The ballad performed by the 15 year old has been selected to represent The Netherlands, one of two countries who have participated in every JESC since it began in 2003. the Netherlands have won the contest once, in 2009 when Ralph set the scoreboard alight with his song “Click Clack”, and have hosted the contest on two occasions, in 2007 and 2012.

“Million Lights” was performed in Junior Songfestival beside a piano, something that has brought luck in the past when Dino Jelusic won the very first Junior Eurovision Song Contest with his song “Ti si moja prva ljubav” and the following year the United Kingdom’s Cory Spedding ended second with her piano ballad “The Best is Yet to Come”.
