The seven time Eurovision winners, Ireland will participate in Stockholm next May, and RTE have announced to ESCUnited.com that the announcement regarding the selection process Irish will be using will be announced in September or October.
It is expected that Ireland will use a national selection as in previous years, with some changes to be made. Ireland have failed to qualify for the Final of the Eurovision Song Contest for the last two years, and the last time the nation competed in the Final (2013) they ended in last position with “Only Love Survives” by Ryan Dolan.
Ireland will participate in one of the Semi-Finals to be held on the 10th or 12th of May in Stockholm, Sweden, hoping to gain their eighth Eurovision win.
