ORF has chosen the location for the 2015 EuroVillage – The Rathausplatz (town hall square) in the centre of Vienna will act as the main Eurovision hotspot in the city. It will be open from 17 to 23 May.
The programme at the EuroVillage will include artists’ performances, DJ sets, special events and of course public viewings of the three live shows. A fan mile with numerous food stands and souvenir shops will be arranged as well.
The location will already be quite busy before it eventually turns into the EuroVillage – on Saturday before Eurovision week, the world’s biggest AIDS charity event, the Life Ball, will take place there. The day after it will host the traditional Eurovision opening ceremony where the competing artists can present themselves on the red carpet.
