Not one to rest on their laurels it seems, head of the French delegation in Eurovision 2015 and 2016, Nathalie André, has stated in an interview with the French website Toutelatele, that she would like to see the French song decided before the end of October this year, in order to give the delegation as much time as possible to plan for the contest.

In an interview regarding the successful French stint in Stockholm, André notes that the staging was much more improved this year compared to that of 2015’s Lisa Angell. She also reveals that the scenography element of Amir’s performance was worked on since December 2015, even before Amir was confirmed as the French performer.

Nathalie does not give any further details away about France’s 2017 selection process but we expect it to be another internal selection. The only French national final in the past nine years was in 2014 where L’Hexagone finished last with just two points.
