France’s national broadcaster responsible for organising the Eurovision entry of the country, France 2, has confirmed that we are merely weeks away from the competition beginning!

Destination Eurovision, now in its second year as the selection process for France, will kick off on January 12th with the first of two live semi-final shows, and with the second following a week later on the 19th. Nine acts will compete in each semi-final with just four of the songs advancing to the live final on January 26th.

Twenty countries will be invited to form an international jury for the competition, with five selected for each semi-final and ten more countries invited to preside over the final eight entries in the competition.

Garou will return to host the show for the second year, with this year’s non-voting panel consisting of Christophe Willem, André Manoukian and Vitaa (pictured in this article’s lead).
