I've excluded songs that have gone up or down due to changes to the song (with one exception that I hold is perfectly acceptable), so here goes:
Growers:
This grew a lot from when I first heard it, but it didn't really have any higher to go after it was selected.
This didn't really have anywhere to go but up, but it's still climbed an impressive amount.
The vitriolic negative reaction to this song for not-great reasons didn't hurt, but I've still come to appreciate it regardless of that.
Faders:
As I said in the Spanish thread, I just think they psyched themselves out of a win.
I had this just outside my top 10 at first, but it's gotten lost for me.
Ditto, but even more so.
Hype in and of itself can't ruin a song for me, but the Eurovision universe telling me that this is a groundbreaking work of genius when I think it's an okay song can. It's pleasant enough, which is what I thought at first, but now that I know that I'm supposed to be hearing a brilliant piece of music unlike anything I've ever heard before, I can't help but compare it to the (figuratively) dozens of better songs I've heard like this before. It was originally mid-pack for me, maybe even a little higher, but it's now at a comfortable #34.
