Welcome to the WV188 Semifinal 2 again in Faroe Islands

At the beginning of our story, drama, passion, rejection were already parts of the foundations of these Faeroe Islands, until the point that they were split in two, with the northern islands ruled by Þrándr’s cousins Brestir and Beinir Sigmundsson, while the southern islands are ruled from Suðuroy by a certain Hafgrímr. Þrándr was a descendant of Grimur Kamban, the first settler and he orchestrated a battle between the Sigmundssons and Hafgrímr , which, surprise, surprise, resulted in the deaths of all three men. He then sells the Sigmundssons’ young sons, Sigmundr Brestisson and Þórir Beinisson, into slavery in Norway and takes over the northern islands for himself; the southern islands being inherited by Hafgrímr’s son Ǫzurr. This guy sounds indeed like a piece of *hit. The legend says he left his hair extremely long and went to live to a high doorless tower in Vágar, moaning and whining in the night in the desperation of feeling alone and untouched, waiting for some high-pitched and beak-nose manly man to show up and climb it up for him, or kicking it down, one of those (or was that Rapunzel?)

The conquest of the islands (north and south) remain, the 22 new contestants are warming up their drakkars at the outskirts of KLASKVIK, who will be proceeding to the next final round?

Ok, remember in this return of the vikings, YOU are the invaders, all of you are attacking our islands in search for the plentiful possessions and amenities we own per right , your drakkars are all starving, yearning for big sacks of gold and diamonds (as we have always had in Faroe, of course), but only ONE of you will be weaving its flag by the end of this battle and therefore conquer the most beautiful and wished land in the world, the Faroes!!!!

voted in both semis last night. Chon, the shows are an absolute delight. I love the artist banners. The design is lovely. I also love how you've shone a light on the composers and writers of our entries. We often overlook their vital role.


I came specifically to semi 2 to post despite competing in the other to say that this is one of the best semis ever

I wouldn't say there was a single song here that I disliked. There were even seven or eight deserving of the 12 points. To everyone who missed my points here, you were my 11th I also warn you all though that if my 12 from this semi doesn't make it, I plan to hire one of those nice special hacker people to take down the forum for good this time. Put my iconic fave through or else *points water pistol*
