Welcome to the WV188 Semifinal 1 again in Faroe Islands
As you can all read (you are all so illustrated at this point...proud of you), Vikings are back!!!!
Some of these events are true while others have been altered for dramatic purposes, the difference between them is impossible to know for certainty
The first vikings coming to our peaceful Faroese shores came in 795, a bit of rain dribbling since it, but they found no population to slaughter, so they mingled with local sheep until their descendants started throwing themselves off the manifold cliffs in the islands. Humanity was blessed by it.
That, until a handsome-modeled persistent viking entered the islands, first as a scatty tourist, later as a fearless warrior, apparently transformed by the despise of a local Faroese farmer with long braids and scattered freckles. She was the one who infuriated this brave viking, called Grimur Kamban, who, as a consequence, raided the islands and sentenced the idilic farmer to be air-drying haddocks for the rest of her days. She, poor thing, died frozen in the middle of winter 826 after a blizzard that lasted for 4 days and nights. Cool!
Ok, in this return of the vikings, YOU are the invaders, all of you are attacking our islands in search for the plentiful possessions and amenities we own per right
, your drakkars are all starving, yearning for big sacks of gold and diamonds (as we have always had in Faroe, of course), but only ONE of you will be weaving its flag by the end of this battle and therefore conquer the most beautiful and wished land in the world, the Faroes!!!!
