Worst UK entries?

I think this Eurovision blog does pretty well to sum up some of the more recent bad entries, but can anyone with longer memories remember any from an earlier time? There must be some other stinkers out there.

There are plenty of people here who will argue with the picks in that blog. I love Daz from 2006, for example. However, we're here to focus on the bad.

I'm not quite old enough to remember it from first time round, but I hate Emma's 1990 entry with a passion. I almost never like "love and peace" entries, such as Romania's and Denmark's from this year, but even they can't hope to replicate the vomit-inducing naffness of "Give a little love back to the world".

1978 - Seen as the biggest fail at the time
1987 - Seen as the biggest fail at the time
1995 - attempting to be modern and failing
2008 - Embarassment
2010 - Cheese and the worst song going

Hmm, I don't like concentrating on the negative but if I have to choose, I'd probably pick UK's debut entry from 1957 "All". It ended up 7th/10 and the UK withrew for a year after that. Maybe that says something.

Probably 2009. I nearly fell asleep listening to it. 2007/10 were also pretty awful.

Does the UK even have one bad song? :?

Since I've been watching Eurovision (2003), there has only been one British entry I havent liked, 2008 - the only entry I havent cheered on. 2010 however I was happy with, I thought Josh did brilliantly and I was proud of him :D.

With the exception of 2002 and 2009 all UK entries from 1999 until now were pretty bad which is a shame cause prior to that they barely had any major hiccups.

1987 & 1995 were two examples of failed attempts but nothing like we have seen over the past 10 years.

Every song in the past ten years; aside from Jessica Garlick and to an extent Jade, has been atrocious.

Jemini, 2003. Man what a disaster. I remember watching it thinking UK had lost all of their marbles. Took them 6 years to finally collect them with Jade.

My taste has always been a bit different from many Eurovisionaires... so the only ones I dislike are the more popular ones:

:uk: 1988, 1995, 2014, 2017, 2019+ are the worst
