Imma start with

Semi 1
700 000 (2,7% share) compared to 400 000 (1,6%) in 2019

Semi 2
720 000 (2,8% share) compared to 680 000 (2,8%) in 2019

Good numbers. We are probably heading towards the most watched Final in years. Expecting close to 9mio.

Overall approx. 3.6 million people tuned in to watch ESC final on TV.
173k watched it digitally on PBC sites & FB. No idea how many people watched the final on STB site. It's safe to say the total is 250k+.

The results segment gathered the highest figures since 2008.

2015, 2019 - we didn't take part.
2016 - The beginning of Vidbir.
2018 - STB started to co-broadcast Eurovision their figures were merged with PBC.

* Sweden was in Semi 1 in 2021, and in Semi 2 in 2019, but the comparison is made with the Semi in which Sweden competed in and not the order of the Semi.

All in all the numbers are up from 2019, so that's a plus, however uncertain if there's a "Corona"-effect though with more people home watching than in 2019, I also don't have the market share numbers. The contest is still "struggling" a bit though to regain popularity from previous years, for example the semi-finals between 2012-2016 had over 1 million viewers each (in 2015 the Semi in which Sweden competed attracted over 2 million viewers), and the finals between 2012-2016 all reached more than 3 million viewers.

Eurovision is also still unable to keep up with the popularity of Melodifestivalen; the Final of Melodifestivalen 2021 had 3 677 000 viewers, while 3/4 Semi finals attracted at least 3 million viewers. The 2021 Eurovision Final is more on par with views for our least "popular" Semi and Second Chance round of Melodifestivalen 2021 (2 972 000 and 2 819 000 viewers respectively).

We were 4 790 000 in 2019, 5 158 000 in 2018 ( 2 600 000 at the time of the Moustache....)
That's the best figures since 2009, when there were 5 700 000 people gathered to watch Patricia Kaas in Moscou...

Strangely, the semis figures are not available, as they were broadcast on a channel that is supposed to not exist any more, or so... (I almost don't watch TV any more, so I don't really follow it all...)

I think it's insane that UK is one of the biggest viewing figures for ESC yet the worst performing. What the fuck.
