I only heard it in full during the show yesterday and the whole way through I thought "Who would vote for this?" and my gut was right: Not really anyone.

This is exactly the outcome I expected.
Entries like this can be really lucky with the current system. When they used to still morph the televote and juries into one set of points, the abysmal televote result probably would have resulted in a single-digit, maybe even 0 points last place....

Why didn't the country group get to sing a country song and instead this horrible Frankenstein by Melfest writers?

People expect a good song from the number one music exporting country, not even British people want to listen to this one.

Because the BBC STILL think that the only way to win Eurovision is with a "Song For Eurovision". Only they've never been able to define what a "Song For Eurovision" is without committing to some stereotype or ultimately going off someone else's opinion (AKA getting writers from other nations to write the song).

When in practice every nation that does well at the contest just puts forwards an act with a solid song that can be performed well.

I legit just think that all they need to do is find some up-comming act and give them the nod for it. Doesn't need to be pop, doesn't need to be a "Bop". Just go "This is a fresh new talent that we are showing off to the world, have fun!" and they'd probably do better that way. They won't win every year, but good grief that at the very least would get them out of the "Song For Eurovision" mindset and might even make some more "legit" acts take the contest more seriously.

I totally agree. Recently, I participlated in the live listening of the ESC 2025 entries with Nation Song Contest. We graded each song from one to ten. This is what I wrote regarding the United Kingdom in the live listening chat room.

"I love the United Kingdom. I've been watching numerous British TV shows for years, and I've been rooting for England in a few international sporting events. Therefore, it pains me to write the following. This year's British ESC entry is mediocre! They can do a lot better than this! I don't mean a superstar, that would be too much to ask, just someone who can actually perform well. Therefore, I can only give the United Kingdom 3 points."

Strange result for us last night. 2nd best points since 2017, our first 12 points in a few years, double the points from last year but still finished 1 place lower than last year.

10th with the Juries is probably about right, could have been even better looking at each Jury ranking if it hadn't been for the odd judge from each country giving us a lower ranking than the other 3/4 we would have been a lot higher (I know it is what it is but still interesting).

Surely though one of our worst televote results in recent years? Think the highest we came in any televote ranking was 16th? and were in the bottom 3 for most countries. Even though Olly got 0 points last year he was between 11-18th for a lot of the televote rankings.

The girls were great, the song is actually a really difficult song to sing well, but from a average viewer who looks for excitement it fell a long way from the mark.

Even worse then haha. I can't think of a year we have done worse in the televote under the new format?

Even James Newman managed a 14th place in the Maltese televote. This way WAY better than he was, so it's a shame it wasn't reflected at all in our vote.

I grew to like the song, them, and I thought they did well on the night. The 0 is disappointing but entirely unsurprising. I didn't like the song at all when I first heard it, and first impression of the song is the number one critical factor, above anything else. Remember Monday were a good act to send, just with the wrong song.

Sorry UK, but the songs was really boring. All my friends was just boring when they heard this songs.

The Girls had nice vocals, but the songs was just really week and did not stand out at all.

But good for UK to get so many jury points a least

And how is excitement defined? There were definitely duller songs.

My sister immediately clocked it as a 0-televoter. She actually thought the battle for the last place would be between the UK and Denmark, before i pointed out that the juries might give both of them a few points for the vocals.

They should've had a country song, would've been great.

Super happy for them to break the top 40. After it all, with all the hate they faced especially in the aftermath of Kant-gate and such Remember Monday have been such fantastic ambassadors for us and shown such positivty and joy, even with their results. It's a marked contrast to Olly and Mae, I'm happy for them and especially with them also getting a 7 figure record deal with Andrew Lloyd-Webber and his sons. They've shown what a great platform Eurovision can be.

#31 is a brilliant position for a Eurovision entrant in the UK chart! The girls should be soooooo proud.

I’ve noticed their song has been used as a TikTok sound numerous times as well, could go viral!
