Re: UNITED KINGDOM 2017

I actually feel like 2017 may be a better year for the UK. The national final had decent viewing figures for BBC Four and therefore we may see a bigger budget and better songs? Now let's hope I haven't just jinxed it. :D

There is only one person that can bring the contest back to the UK, where it belongs

Tbh, you should just send Saor. xheart He probably wouldn't want to participate under name UK but still... I sort of have a feeling he would get a better result than most of your recent entries.

And now let's get real: I'd LOVE to see UK sending something in Scottish Gaelic. xheart Julie Fowlis for example. If that's ever going to happen, I bet UK has a safe 1st place in my ranking.

And now let's get real for real: None of the above is going to happen obviously.

Re: UNITED KINGDOM 2017

After the whole NF thing they put this year my expectations for UK 2017 are below zero  Some random no-name artist or band will take part, probably. Or a retired dinosaur. Depends on BBC's mood.

Love how this thread is already on 2 pages :p

Agree about Scottish Gaelic, we definitely need to send a Celtic entry to the Contest. The 310th anniversary year of Scotland fusing with England seems like a good enough excuse to send a Gaelic song :p

Hopefully next year's host will welcome the UK with open arms

I think that Cheryl doesn't want to hear about ESC.

What about Hurts? They seem to be nice and open for new things.

Or Ella Henderson - young and talented.. Or Amelia Lily, she's forgotten

A song made up of regional languages - welsh, scottish gaelic, irish would be so amazing and interesting. We would need the BBC to get it written though, since it's unlikely to come about otherwise.

Re: UNITED KINGDOM 2017

I'd love Busted seeing as they're gonna be releasing a new album at the end of the year :p But given that Charlie refused to join Matt & James as the Junior Eurovision interval act back in the day I doubt it'd happen

Charlie doesn't need Eurovision, he can go to Worldvision instead.

Re: UNITED KINGDOM 2017

Makes me wonder is the UK the new Norway?

Maybe they should go for a selection process like Sweden's Melodifestivalen, I don't mean on the same scale but in the same way of combining televotes with regional and international juries to pick the best song.
