I see it a bit small and, on the other hand, all those white cylinders and lights are a bit too much for me. But this is just a sketch and I guess the stage will look much better in the end.

It's really something unique although the whole "eye concept" is very much an illuminati thing.
I hoped for something more classical and a huge chandelier from the ceiling.

That's the first stage since Düsseldorf that doesn't have a catwalk. The pillars seem to obstruct the view from the side seats.

The stage is made for television but not for the live audience. I might sell my tickets after semifinal 1.

I thought it looked good but then my girlfriend pointed out that all those lights might make it hard for the audience to see properly.

2015: Stage design revealed

Above you can see the first photos of the Eurovision Song Contest stage 2015. The stage was designed by a team of four people Florian Wieder (The Creative Producer / Production Designer, ESC 2011, 2012), Al Gurdon (ESC 2009, 2010), Kurt Pongratz (Director and live event specialist).
“The stage of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest consists of 1288 individual pillars and measures 44 metres in width, 14,3 metres in height and up to 22 metres in depth. The LED pillars can produce a wide variety of lighting effects as can the 11 metre diameter stage floor. In the background, there is another LED wall of 22 metres wide and 8,5 metres high.” – eurovision.tv

Big dramatic ballads would so well on that stage, or something like Boggie's song War Is For Nothing

Love it! Love stages with a bit of distance between the immediate performance area and the audience! Also love the lack of catwalk, first time since 2009!!

I am impressed. I love smaller stages since 2012 - that stage back then was way to big, every artist got completely lost. It is a lot like Malmö I feel which is my favourite stage of all time :)

That stage is f*cking appalling. Too small. It looks like a stage from a shoestring budget. No catwalk is stupid as well.

I think the catwalk was gonna disappear last year in the first design and in the end it didn't. Maybe this year is the same story. Let's hope cause the catwalk gives a lot of possible for the staging of some songs :D

Stadthalle is not Baku Crystal Hall nor Düsseldorf arena.

I wonder if these pillars are static or movable, which would add some impression. And if they are solid or see-through.
ParadiseES maybe they can use the pillars to walk on (if they are solid) and rise above the stage
