Melodifestivalen will of course be running again in 2010. The main change this year is that some of the entries will be chosen from an online voting beforehand (as in Finland).

The song submissions for the Swedish national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, Melodifestivalen, ran out on Sunday. For the first time the Swedish broadcaster has added an option for a web wildcard to be selected by the public. After first inspection about 175 of the 246 songs submitted are now left to be placed online on 14 October. The number of songs submitted has gone down a little from previous years: including the songs submitted as web wildcards the total number received by SVT is 2860.
The ca 175 songs will be placed on the SVT Melodifestivalen website svt.se/melodifestivalen from 14 October until 12 November, when the winner of the SMS vote will be announced. Songs submitted for the web vote could not include works by established songwriters, or anybody connected with a publisher or who has previous published material, and such entries have been eliminated. Also some technically inadequate of inappropriate entries have been removed.

The number of regular songs submitted was 2614, making the total to 2860.

I have listened through all the 180 songs in Webbjokern and it was very mixed in both genres and quality!

But for those who aren't that addicted in the way that I am , I will put the names of some of the best songs here!

Song #8: "All The Things"
Extremly cool 60s popsong with a great singer! One of my favorite entries!

Song #40: "Euro Vision"
Sorry, the song is not about Eurovision, They sing that they miss the 90s EuroDisco songs! Extremly Catchy!

Song #61: "Hot For The Night"
Cool Abba/Alcazar pop in a modern way!

Song #72 "If You Go Down"
Pretty good song, that need to be a bit longer (only 2:18), but can be a big favorite among the girls!

Song #86 "Kom Till Mig"
This song should really be sung by like Shirley Clamp or something! AMAZING ROCK-BALLAD!! Something that would be cool to send to ESC!

Song #99 "Love Me"
Cool RnB/Pop song that would definitly something that would make MF much more modern! The girl that sings is great!

Song #106 "Never Be Like You"
The singer (I think) is Jonna that sang for Sweden in MGP Nordic 2008. The song is pretty okish, not my biggest favorite but since she is a little known she can do well.

Song #108 "Nights For The Young"
Cool Guns 'n' Roses-style Song! Which could be great to see in MF!

Song #122 "Promised Land"
A nice peace-message...sounds a bit like a Israeli entry...but still a pretty good song!

Song #133 "Shadow Girl"
A pianoballad that can do well! Song is a bit long, but that can be fixed easily I guess. The girl that sings looks like 14, but I guess she is older

Song #138 "Something About Her"
Great pop/rock song! The guy that sings is great too! Could do well, maybe even be chosen!

Song #139 "Sophisticated Lady"
A great Rock-song! Pretty un-swedish song, more finnish! One of the favorites for me too!

Song #162 "Too Many Times"
A nice relaxing pop song! The voice is a bit country...like Carrie Underwood-style! Really nice!

Song #164 "Twinkle Twinkle (Little Star)
Lady Gaga meets Aqua! Cute pop song with a slight modern Gaga-style. Will have no chance on earth to make it, but funny!

Song #167 "Vart Tog Du Vägen?"
Great ballad! Maybe too melodic to compete in MF, but really nice!

Song #172 "What Shall We Do"
The guy doesn't sing that well...but the song sounds pretty good! Maybe let a friend of him sing it in MF if he gets through, then it could do well!

Song #173 "When It Comes To That"
I am very sure that this will be top 3 in Webbjokern. Sounds extremly like the Danish entries recently and could do very well in MF! The guy could also be a favorite among the girls. Good song though!

"Never Heard Of Him", sung by Anorah (Swedish singer who took part in the 2008 Danish NF) has been disqualified for being available online before MF. It will be replaced soon.

Siberia, 90's in da house But I'm not a fan of such style.
