let's face it, if they treated mirela and her staging the way they treated manel she would get the exact same 5 points from portugal (... maybe less?) and literally nothing else. TVE proved that their national final is irrelevant because they will fuck up until the entry is beyond recognition anyway. i was never a fan of the song but the potential for some form of a not-terrible result was there.

Wow, now I read that Xavi Martínez (one of the jurors that gave him the maximum points while gave the least to Mirela in the NF) says he was wrong at voting for him. Just wow. Can someone really be so cheeky?

Now I really feel sorry for Manel. You can see music is what he wants to do, he thought he had a chance with Eurovision and instead it has probably sentenced his career even before it begins. I hope I'm wrong.

He is a clever guy and if he was able to survive these months, he will get over. He's taking it with humour and getting any chance to go to TV to laugh at his own performance. That's turning a flop into an opportunity.
He's been today in Buenafuente's show and sang live his new song, a ballad with just him and his guitar. Even if he's still a meh singer, wow, why didn't he choose that kind of song instead of "Do it for your lover"? :?

He's still too amateurish. But this or something similar would fit him more than "Do it for your lover". And this would have never been last. It's obviously not a masterpiece, but we would have at least a decent flavour and we wouldn't be Europe's shame now.

We live in a world of disposable music (and people/artists).

Manel career never existed, Manel was a product of some spoiled producers who were proven wrong, he is useless now... no talent, no charisma, bad reputation. He can keep trying of course, but he'll be forever one of the worst Spanish Eurovision entries ever. It's him, not Xavi, not Virginia either Toñi.

I can't believe that picture. Looks like somebody literally ripped Rodolfo and his dancer chick from 2008 and put them in the studio with Manel: they don't look a day older than 2008!

Buenafuente knows nothing about Eurovision, he could have learned more about it after sending Chikilicuatre... but instead he only keeps repeating the same stereotypes with no reason. Manel palying the role of victim and not taking responsability of his part, a conditional apologise is not an apologise at all. I could agree that insulting him is low and nobody deserve that... fine, but criticism can't be minimised just because there are some hooligans on the social media. I don't really feel pity for him. I read that rats are the first ones to leave the ship when it sinks, but let's not forget Manel was one of the rats too.

Eurovision made it to the Congress again. The Socialist Group will ask TVE's manager about Eurovision and the bad image of Spain the broadcaster is throwing across Europe. This time he will be asked live in the TVE's commission. It will not be a written question like after Objetivo Eurovisión drama.

I still wonder whats wrong in the head of those portugease people who gave him 5 points. Still cant believe how the 3rd highest Payer of this tournament can not take it serious.

11th in Azerbaijans Juryvoting. The 25th Place was very close for him. He needed only 3 Positionpoints fewer.
