Maybe the one you'll vote for on Friday will be eliminated too :D The nightmare!

Seriously though, I am surprised by this outcome: the song is so meh.

The voting numbers are probably too low xshrug

Isn‘t it rather surprising that hardly any ESC site covers this first stage of the Slovenian NF? Not wiwibloggs, nor ESCtoday, nor ESCXtra,.... the list goes on. Any tiny news that is vaguely related to eurovision seems to be more interesting, even though we have here the first snippets of pontential entries.... This is really strange!

The line-up of the three-way battle tomorrow.

It's the same procedure we know: one vote per IP address, voting from 10:00 to 20:00.

One winner will be determined by the online voters while the other will be picked by a jury panel.

I would be more mad at Astrid losing if there was even the slightest chance of anyone from Fresh actually winning EMA, this ain't Germany.

Is there any chance for Astrid? I mean, i read it in propositions and she will have a second chance round, to try to go trought?

Yes, EMA FREŠ lasts five weeks: the first three weeks are the regular rounds (featuring six new participants per week) and the last two weeks are meant to give all the acts that lost their duels a second chance.

Astrid's chances will depend on who she'll be up against, but I'm a little worried if she lost to Martina tbh... It's a shame she didn't advance to the next stage now, she certainly would have been saved by experts if need be.

Younite is the only decent option of the three.

Finally got the chance to listen to Astrid's snippet.... How on earth could she NOT win against the other one (from which I can only remember that the vocals were not on point)??

I was doing some research, why Astrid in Avangarten, who is clear fan favourite between ESC fans among the forums.

Number of voters is probably quite low, so Martina is probably famous for her gigs in Slovenia, and she maybe called her public to vote for her.

If the number of voters grow in next few rounds, chances for Astrid will be increased, especially it depends on us, fanbase, cause we can "smell" ESC potential at early stages. Astrid is definetely the biggest one, for this week.
Like Mahmood was 17th on televote on Sanremo, with betting odds 100, totally peripherical figure.

But on ESC and National Selections there are totally different criteria. Who would bet Ultimo would do better then Mahmood? I think no one.

Some songs are good for national fame, but some performers are worldwide potential, and often that kind of performers cant be understood in their native country or region. Or they get recognized there only after they make continental or worldwide career. Mahmoods example is quite good one.

If she manages to go to EMA Fres top 10, i think she has good chances to be picked in top 2, We shall try to help her, whoever likes the song, should vote.

I do wonder who is part of the expert panel... xthink I assume RTVSLO requested Zalagasper's help (since it would keep the tradition of past successful representatives getting involved in the selection). As long as there isn't an international jury, it's fine with me: I remember how they randomly rewarded Ina Shai's "Glow" in 2018... Thanks but no, thanks.

Stella and Younite are the winners this week. :) They go to the final of EMA FREŠ. Martina will be given another chance during the "lucky losers" rounds.

Duel Klarity vs Tilen Lotrič

Klarity: "Diham" seems to be a mellow mid-tempo, it starts with just a piano, then a beat kicks in. What I like the most about this is the rhythm induced by the vocal phrasings, which adds a bit more dynamism. With that being said, the composition isn't something I'd gravitate towards, it lacks character and sounds a bit too "teenage ballad" imo. Klarity has a decent voice though. I don't dislike it, yet I don't like it either: it's kind of there imo.

Tilen Lotrič: Boy can sing apparently. Too bad the song has again a lingering sense of déjà vu imo: the melody isn't anything special and the arrangements are pretty common. The only thing that intrigues me is the weird sound at the end of the snippet: is it the beginning of a drop or something? It's a lot more produced than "Diham" at the moment. Anyway, I fail to feel something and that is an issue for me in music. That's nice for the national market, but I expect a lot more for Eurovision.

Well, I can't say I'm thrilled by any of these efforts. Since I don't want to abstain, I'll be #teamKlarity today, simply because it's a bit more melodious to my ears. But I clearly wouldn't be devastated if Tilen won tonight.

I voted. xsalute
