I’ve tried to write
A million other songs but
Somehow I can’t move on, oh you’re gone

Takes time, alright
And I know it’s no one’s fault but
Somehow I can’t move on, oh you’re gone

Saudade
Saudade
Nothing more that I can say
Says it in a better way

Saudade
Saudade
Nothing more that I can say
Says it in a better way

Tem tanto que trago comigo
Foi sempre o meu porto de abrigo
E agora nada faz sentido
Perdi o meu melhor amigo

E se não for demais
Peço por sinais
Resta uma só palavra

Saudade
Saudade
Nothing more that I can say
Says it in a better way

Saudade
Saudade
Nothing more that I can say
Says it in a better way

Nothing more that I can say
Says it in a better way

I’ve tried, alright
But it’s killing me inside
Thought you’d be by my side always

It is too early. Really. That is a shame.
If there was any chance of taking a place inside of top 10, now it is over.
Really, I am so pissed off. Especially because Netherlands got the 11th place. The running order manager is dutch. 🙃

:cz: also performed 3rd in 2019 despite coming 2nd in its semi only behind :au:. I am not saying such approach is good, but there is a precedens for it, even in the case :pt: placed extremely well in its semi (which we don't know yet).

No really, I wish to see the day where producers put :se: 2nd and  4th in the running order (or something of the sort) :)

I wouldn't rule out a good placing for Maro. #3 sounds way too early, yes I know...

But let's take a look on the other songs performing around. Apart of Switzerland there is no slower/"intimate" song in the running order until Armenia/Italy. Personally I think that Maro and her lovely ladies should outshine Marius, so the fans of ballads will early decide for Maro.

It is also good for Portugal that they perform right after Romania. That's the most opposite song to saudade, saudade I can think of, so the people being turned off by Romania have a higher chance to find instant appeal in Portugal.

A Top 10 will be hard, but points should come in enough

I have a feeling this might get lost amongst the vast amount of slower songs. 3 slot has killed it.

It IS interesting to look into the figures of the different countries. You mentioned Sweden and Norway, both seem to be favoured by the running order since it was introduced in 2013. The figures are rather small, BUT especially Sweden seems to be favoured. Their "worst" start in the first half is 9, and in the second half number 20!

1st half Norway: 5-9-7-7
1st half Sweden: 13-10-9 (host country; drawn)-9

2nd half Norway: 24, 17, 15, 22
2nd hald Sweden: 24, 20, 25, 20

Guys relax ok? If we had a great result in the semis we will have one regardless of performing 3rd. Albania in 2012 performed 3rd and was 8th in the televote, 3rd with the jury and 5th overall.

Take a chill pill guys. Let’s see what happens tonight.

I am so incredibly happy for Portugal. They deserved every single point.
