Of course they should stick to their roots. It will be sad to loose the typical portugese sound because of just another "modern" commercial trash. We have enough of this at Eurovision, I don't understand the obsession every song in the contest to sound similar to one particular swedish way. It's not that the Scandinavian songs are bad, I don't say that, but we do need some diversity in the contest. An Portugal brings us that. They have unique songs through the years and have to continue the tradition no matter what.
