Lights, beaming down the rainy street
All the faces that I meet tell me I'm wrong
Ride, staring at the neon signs
Making up a storyline, gotta hold on
Not lost, even in the death of night
I can make it out alright
Just let me go
Yeah, I, I will make it through somehow
Let me figure out what is in and out

So baby, hold on for the ride of your life
High above ground, living it now
I'm gonna take you to the end of the line
Taking that fight, make it alright
It doesn't matter if I stumble and fall
I'll make it through, I'll never touch the ground
So baby, hold on for the ride of your life
Hold on real tight, make it alright

Hard, I won't give my heart and soul
I am going for the glow, no looking back
I'm gonna rise high up in the atmosphere
I ain't got no time to fear
Follow my tracks

Not lost, following the neon lights
Shooting through the summer skies
Just let me go
Yeah I, I will make it through somehow
Let me figure out what is in and out

So baby, hold on for the ride of your life
High above ground, living it now
I'm gonna take you to the end of the line
Taking that fight, make it alright
It doesn't matter if I stumble and fall
I'll make it through, I'll never touch the ground
So baby, hold on for the ride of your life
Hold on real tight, make it alright

I'm gonna take all the world tonight (Oh-woah-oh-oh)
Not gonna ask, gonna take what's mine (Oh-woah-oh-oh)
So hold on tight, baby, let's get high (Oh-woah-oh-oh)
High above the ground
Ride, staring at the neon signs
Let me figure out what is in and out

So baby, hold on for the ride of your life
High above ground, living it now
I'm gonna take you to the end of the line
Taking that fight, make it alright
It doesn't matter if I stumble and fall
I'll make it through, I'll never touch the ground
So baby, hold on for the ride of your life
Hold on real tight, make it alright

Okay, now I understand why sometimes he sounds like Marzia Gaggioli, an Italian singer who sings in many languages, includes Polish of course... she got a huge fanbase in Poland a few years ago when she had released her BOP "Jestem tutaj" (fun fuct: she wanted to participated in one of our NF, but TVP rejected her entry XD).

I was thinking that his weird articulation is caused because of way he sings, but now I can see that he is not born in Poland. So this is how non-English speakers sounds for English natives, hahah.

Anyway I like "Wielkie tytuły". At first I was like "what the heck is that", but it has changed very quickly. It would be very nice to see it on ESC.

I found on the Internet an old news that he is not interestet in Eurovision by now. I am not a big fan of an idea that we need to send Alicia, because "we need to be fair". I still (little) hopes for a nice song at least and this should be a main factor of our selection. In the big picture, we need to point that TVP is ultra-political and pro-government broadcaster and many many many artists just boycott it - they don't want to be a TVP-face.

TVP can choose from its stars of talent-shows, disco polo singers or those little ones who don't give a f***... like our sweet Cleo full-time TVP singer. ;d

I haven't listened to Ochman's new single yet (as I don't want to spoil myself if it happens to be the ESC entry), but if it's anything like his debut (which btw is also eligible for ESC), then I'm all for it! This is much better than anything I heard from Alicja so far (although I think Alicja would go down better with the juries but eff those grandmas!)

Won't it be too similar to Gjon's tears?

Do we even know what Gjon's tears would come up with this year? xshrug

Plus, I don't think it's particular similar? , this sounds like an odd mix of R&B-Pop with singing inspired by Polish Goral folk or church music...

I actually don't agree, they might both have a bit of "operetta" in them, but Gjon's sounds more inspired by Balkan and Mid-East (which might not be surprising since he has Albanian origin and probably draws inspiration from that), wheres Ochman to me is more Goral and church-like singing.

His polish is really good, I don't know what you are talking about ...
1. "Polish", not "polish" :)
2. Heard him singing in English and Polish, just prefer the language he (and therefore me when I hear it) is more comfortable with ...

I'm not impressed much with Ochman. I don't like his sound. Światłocienie is better than Wielkie Tytuły though.

I still hope Alicja will be back. I love the songs she dropped last year. She just needs something way better than Empires.

Oooh I really like Ochman's sound and new single! If that would be his eurovision entry it would probably be in my Top 5/10.
Sad to say I find Alicja and her new music really forgettable.

I think Krystian Ochman could be an amazing choice for Poland. Also for me, his new song would make my Top 5 for sure.
On the other hand, Empires was also in my Top 5 last year. Never understood why it was so unpopular.

I wouldn't mind a Polish language dark alt R&B duet between Alicja and Ochmann, I think it would fit the two and it would be interesting to see the dynamic plus we rarely have duets in ESC. Something Banks-ish maybe?

The problem with TVP and Eurovision is that they might pick talented acts, but the songs are often badly produced and don't let me start on the stage shows.

Anyways what's going on TVP? xshrug

I don't want Alicja please. I am not into Ochman at all either.

Because it was sung by a female singer, of course. If Ochman had sung "Empires", everybody would've loved it.

Tumblr, mostly.
Empires is insipid, generic and boring, a total empty void of a standard issue ballad, completed, of course, with nonsensical laurel barker lyrics.

Alecja deserves WAY better than that awful song.
