I thought it sounded familiar!! But when I did a search on the title and artist (as labeled in this edition) and nothing came up, I just figured it had been a WV entry or I had heard it somewhere else.

So what do you guys suggest we do now, so far into the semi and so close to the deadline?

Well if it was early on I'd say go with his back up, but it's the day of the deadline and the entry has been sent before so the simplest solution is to disqualify him from the edition. It's too late to ask everyone to revote and it would be unfair to let his entry take part if it was sent before.

I think that if it got enough votes to qualify, a new, different entry by should replace it in the final, to not waste the votes in its favour. After all, it's not only their fault no one found out about it earlier.

This doesn't make much sense to me, though. If they get enough votes to qualify, and yet we replace the entry in the final, then that song isn't what people voted for to make them qualify to begin with.

Imo (and without really remembering what we've done in the past, even tho I think this happened to not long ago), DQ, but no other punishment, and can vote as part of the WL in the final if they want to.
