I have heard once all the songs,and i am a bit dissapointed.From all these i prefer the Banjo Laura.

I only listened to Lauris's entry and it's rather "eeek". Hope some of the other songs will be more promising.

OMG, Martins Freimans died at the age of 33. He represented Latvia in 2003 with F.L.Y. and "Hello from Mars" returning to the contest in 2005 as a songwriter (The war is not over).
He also wrote songs for the 2009 & 2010 NF and his song 'Hop' has been selected for the semi finals of the 2011 national selection, where it will be performed by Blitze.
He died of complications following an influenza infection.

I totally remember him and am very shocked about this news :(

influenza, who dies of influenca at that age? That's something that may kill older people so that just really really sucks..I'm listening to "Hello from Mars" right now...makes me sad :(

This is really sad, my thoughts go out to his loved ones and family, may he rest in peace. I really hope this "trend" of young Eurovision connected singers dying will not continue, it's very depressing :/

It depends on the sort of influenza and what caused it or/and if he got some other pre-illnesses like heart problem, HIV or whatever... in those cases influenza can kill even a young person.

Influenza kills even younger people. Basically it can kill anyone at any age esp if it causes pneumonia (which has quite high mortality rate).
I've just recovered from that disease and I must say that it seems nothing special... until you get it. I knew at least 2 people who died from influenza in their 30's. Both had children etc.
What can I say, care about your health ;)
Personally I think that Latvia 2005 was their best entry. My condolences *hugs*

I only like "Banjo Laura" very good song
