It's sad that antisemitism has been normalized in Europe by certain political groups and communities to that extent that a singer even needs so much special security in the first place.
It shows that the dark ages of WW2 is still alive in Europe, just committed by other groups. It's shameful.

Oh dear. All the preparation work for nothing? Poor Michael. His route to Eurovision has been really rocky for him since the start. At this point, it's looking alot worse than what Eden has to endure.
Even if they do a live-on-tape performance, it's going to kill the song's chances completely. It's going to be like Australia 2021 all over again. I would rather they not participate this year and let Michael participate next year since there are some issues with the tendering of next year's NF. This way, it can solve the problem. Michael can come back with a stronger song.

While this song isn't in my top 10 of semi final 2, it will be sad for Michael Ben David not to take part in the contest (if this is still the case in May). There aren't many bops this year, and his performance gets the audience going! Hopefully this gets resolved.

In reality, Israel has always accompanied its delegations to Eurovision with armed Israeli police and military, but in Italy it is forbidden for foreign armed forces to enter Italy with weapons and for this reason they withdraw, failing to protect their delegation and their supporters. 
I swear, with all this mess & drama they could be our long lost twin 
Edit: I assume that American delegation will be in Turin, then why not to help Israel to negotiate with Italian government? Hire those securities for symbolic price and make a deal with KAN/government about the actual payment. Do this via Ministry of Internal Security, send those guards as delegation members etc.

Rehearsals won't start in a few weeks' time, so let's see if there will be any changes to the situation.
I can't believe there are people who actually think the Israeli delegation is pulling such stunt just because Israel will NQ.
Imagine the time, money and effort have already spent, I doubt pulling such stunt will cut their losses.
Plus they will likely face a fine from EBU for pulling out at such short notice?
And thank God I am not active on Twitter, which is downright a cesspool. The comments which people have posted saying they are joyous that Israel is likely to pull out from the competition is appalling.
