Positive surprise (along with Malta), I love it when some songs that nobody thinks they'll end up so high make it to the top 10 (of course, when they are good and interesting songs like these 2). It was my mom's favorite along with Denmark, and I really enjoyed its simplicity. It's a kind of a song that doesn't remind ESC at all and it's another positive. Some people find it boring, yeah it's neither a funfair nor a big wailing ballad, but fortunately ESC voters recognize this kind of songs as well. And it was one of the only three non-English entries in the top 10. Congrats Hungary for not selling out (like others usually do) and sending this one in Hungarian, it paid off well. Who would imagine that "What about my dreams?" would flop and this one would end up top 10? I hope to see an entry in Hungarian next year too!
I love how many of my friends actually started to like it after my campaign of playing kedvesem every time when i had the possibility to force people to listen to the music i like
This song is amazing in its simplicity. There's something very appealing about the melody and the way Alex sings, not to mention the Hungarian language sounds great. On top of that, the lyrics appear to be really well-written, though Hungarian speakers have reported they're nearly impossible to translate properly.
It definitely deserved top 10, but it was in my personal top 3 of the night. Congratulations!
I hated this song from the very begging. It is unclear if he sings or tells a story. You dont need a great voice for this "song" everyone can tell stories. Undeserved final place and it should have been in the last place.
When i first saw this win selection i thought it was a terrible choice and said so on this thread. Then however in the semi i saw the magic of it.The backing singer adds a wonderfull element and really broadens the song and the guitar works superbly.I was very wrong on this at first im glad to say and quickly backed it for top 10 so was delighted it made it and very much deserved.Im sure Hungary must be very proud of what the 3 of them here did in Malmo.Congratulations.
So so soooooo incredibly happy for the Hungarian team!! I just loooooove this song and they did a great job in the final (semifinal was meh...) Voted twice, a pity that it didn't mean Spain awarding a single point to Hungary. Guys, stick to Hungarian, it sounds great!!
