Still can't believe they are sending something in German language. First time in this century, am I correct?
If they hadn't sung in German, I would have turned my back on this song, as I can't find any information indicating that they have a relation to Germany other than living in a neighbouring country.

Nice choice, but i think Germany is a little hard of hearing.. once i said i want Ballermann music at eurovision, but i guess they must have misheard me and gave me just Baller instead.xrofl

they don't, they have a german label, that's it.
i'm really emotionally torn here, i like them, i like the song, but the fact that they did not want to participate for their home country (and were asked last year) but chose germany instead just does not sit 100% right with me. still its definitely one of the better entries this year imo and i wish them success

to me it seems like this all somehow happened to them. I think they themselves need a couple of nights to oversleep everything and realize what is going on.
And it seems like JJ will have the better song anyway.

Don't worry ppl, Im al right.. xcry
Well, that ‘s it.. :(
I survied it..I mannaged, don't worry Im okay..
Im glad in the end he was 3rd and not so close to the winner like Lyza was, I would not be able to survive it, I swear.. :(

And I knew it, I simple knew when the day, Germany sends entry in German language comes, I won’t like it!! I felt it! 🥹

I still can't vote in the poll, it will be wrong mark maybe if I do so now.. I need some time for it..

It all feels very rigged with the last minute change of introducing a superfinal, to prevent certain songs from being voted on. Now, Baller may very well have come out the winner regardless, and that would have been fine if that was indeed the number one favorite of all the songs competing. But now we'll never know and it all just leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Feuerschwanz would have gotten a 12 from me. Baller's only redeeming quality is that it's in German, and I'm not saying that because I'm mad about the results. It was among my least favorites even during the semi-final. 0 points.

I can definitely follow you there. It's just not as criticizable as Marcus and Martinus who go to Sweden from Norway and sing in English.

I hope she didn't sing the Ballerlala because she's sick? She has to sing it, otherwise it sounds too busy.
We could be sure of points from Austria and Romania.

The performance as it is is crap. He should stay seated at the cello and leave the cello whole, half of Europe would ask itself wtf ? Then she has to sing the Ballerlalala herself, the transitions playback / singing sound just terrible. In the end, she has to dance, shake her hair and make the shooting gestures, she alone, that's iconic.

If we hadn't had LOTL, Feuerschwanz would probably have won, but based on LOTL's experience, the jury probably wanted to make sure and not let them go to Basel.
Moss and Lyza were probably the best singers, although I found Junika stronger than Lyza, but the songs were weaker and only that counts, plus the potential you can make of the song, that was decisive for Baller. Therefore, the decision and what the jury said was understandable and comprehensible. The majority of callers followed.

Ugh, let's not talk about it
Some of y’all aren’t enthusiastic enough for my liking. LET’S GO, WE BALLIN’ IN BASEL!!!! BALLALALALALALALA

But for real: I love this song but am not expecting it to score anything impressive at the big show. Honestly, none of those songs were gonna do well. At least they’ve made a popular choice that’s a great representation of the German music scene (yea yea, they’re Austrian, I know) and is in German for the first time in a billion years. Interested what Matt’s thoughts are

I gave a 3.
I listened the semifinal live performance 5 times and found it really weak. The voice, the composition, there isn't any singing just Lalalalala. I read the lyrics too, and I don't disliked them but found a disconnection between what she was singing and how she was acting on stage. Or maybe I didn't get the right message
But I'm glad that most of the German friends here like it.

Well Romania cannot give any points since they don’t participate.

I wavered back and forth between wanting A & T or Moss to represent us. Moss may not be a crowd pleaser with this song, but it would have gotten some points from the Juries at least.

I love A&T, but I'm currently unsure where we should get the points. Probably not from the Juries. Also due to contributions from Finland, Sweden, Estonia etc. it will also be difficult with the audience. The realistic scenario is that we will be 15-20.
I hope for Basel:

- that Tynna is still working on her voice (I think she sang her two covers much better than “Baller” itself)
- that the cello is included even more in terms of performance (the jury might like it more)
- that the “baller” is shot harder
- please do not destroy the cello
- and generally think about staging

There is room for improvement, but I look to Basel with hope.

A lot!
May I add one point: please work on the pronunciation. It's a pity to have a song in german that is for bigger parts not understandable, because she mumbles and cuts syllables so much. For instance I hardly understood the "Löcher in die Nacht"-Part. And right afterwards I didn't get it even with close and repeated listening. Only after the lyrics video I kinda knew what that was supposed to mean.
