Re: Finland

Many participants have gone totally crazy for WV02. Everybody's starting a NF and they let the crowds decide which song should participate for the country. The more people vote in those NFs, the more likely it will be that the winning NF songs will be 'music for the masses'

Not always! If somebody doesn't wanna send music for the masses, he can make a NF with songs that are not for the masses! I have scheduled 2 national finals for the following editions:
1) Multiartist - mainsteream
2) Multiartist - non-mainstream

Because if you have half mainstream and half non-mainstream songs, 90% a mainstream one will win! And I personally don't want to send a mainstream song every month! :D

You don't? Oh?? Is there a new wind blowing over Cyprus these days?

Anyway, I don't want to send something non-mainstream every month!

Of course I don't wanna send all the time the same type of songs and expect the same people to like them and the same people to dislike them edition after edition!

And anyway, I'm not a mainstream song lover exclusively, actually my favorite genre is the Greek rock (typical example are the songs in the Greek NF in this edition) and I listen to a lot of world/ethnic/folk, alternative and lounge music, especially while driving! And I can't wait to share these songs in national finals ASAP!

But you know, maybe music that you think of "Oh this SO not mainstream but I like it " is actually still pretty much mainstream in some other people's ears :D

I think I've already experienced this a few times (but I can't remember exactly which ones)

As everybody could already see, I'm sending special agent Sydney Bristow to Stockholm for WV02. But as who will she go?

Lyrics:

Sade hivelee, mun mielen puhdistaa
Olet siinä mut miks mun rintaa puristaa
Annat kätesi, mä en siihen haluu tarttua
Miks en tunne mitään,
en pitkään aikaan tuntenut oo enää

Tiedän vain sen
Että parempi mun on
Nukkua kapealla sängyllä
Ja yksin aamuuni herätä

Uskoisit mua

Uskoisit mua
Onnenpäivä nyt sun on
Ja ennen kuin maa on valkoinen
Löydät sun arvoisen naisen

Sade mua pukee, saa kasvoja koskettaa
Mä tunnen teen oikein,
jotain ravistelevaa nyt kaipaan

Tiedän vain sen
Että parempi mun on
Nukkua kapealla sängyllä
Ja yksin aamuuni herätä

Uskoisit mua
Onnenpäivä nyt sun on
Ja ennen kuin maa on valkoinen
Löydät sun arvoisen naisen

Uskoisit mua
Onnenpäivä nyt sun on
Ja ennen kuin maa on valkoinen
Löydät sun arvoisen naisen
