Who on earth will win?

I can see a scenario where Austria, France, Sweden or Italy take it.
Finland maybe has a chance? Albania if the juries don't kill it?
I'm thinking for the first time in the season that maybe neither Sweden or Austria is winning.

At this point I think there is a 90% chance of Sweden winning (despite the fact that I hate the entry). EBU really wants them to win. If they don't it's probably gonna be France.

- Austria won't win - too similar to Nemo due to the high-pitched voice and overproduction
- Estonia won't win - because it's Estonia and because EBU obviously hates him just like they hated Joost (which can be seen in the running order too)
- Israel won't win - for obvious reasons
- Finland won't win - not enough jury votes and EBU won't want her to win because it's not family friendly enough
- Italy won't win - as much as I adore the entry I don't see another alternative-looking Italian act win esc that shortly after Maneskin and they haven't been promoting this entry at all
- Albania, Lithuania and Latvia won't win - because it's these countries and because none of them will get enough points from both televoting and juries
- The Netherlands won't win - the staging is a bit outdated, there is no hype surrounding the entry and EBU hasn't been hyping it either. Before the staging was announced I was convinced that this would be a contender for the win but the staging really isn't remarkable or special enough for a winner entry
- Switzerland won't win - I'm sure Switzerland doesn't want to host it again, and like The Netherlands, there is no hype or extreme promotion from EBU

This doesn't reflect my personal wishes or opinion about the entries, it's just a prediction ^

I have the same feeling every year but am I the only one that's bothered by how the final results are presented to us? Much more annoying to me than some format in which they announce the semi qualifiers.

I just don't feel excited about 90% of the time spending watching the results from 5 random people from every country. It's not very interesting. What I do want to see is what different countries actually voted for. And I'm sure the artists themselves are more interested in it as well. A :12: from the public of France for example gives them much more joy than "oh 5 people from France ranked our entry best on average".

And yeah I know it's probably about excitement or ending with the televotes, but the main point still stands. Let us see the full votings of people, not these of some b-artists, DJ's and even tv presenters.

True. This is why I miss the 100% televote 2000s.

Or have the 2009-2015 system back but maybe in a different way, as I remember it had its problems.

I'm personally fine with the current system HOWEVER, I wish we could go back to the 2016-2018 style of announcing the televotes, which were given to the lowest ranked country in televoting first and then up from there one by one until to the winner. That way both the jury and televote winners have their proper time to shine. But no, we (EBU) gotta have the excitement, drama, and social media engagement I guess.

Well that's not something I would be in favour of. Personally I'd like a jury-influence but organised in a different way (like a panel of 100 actual musicians, lyricists, composers etc) and with a bit less influence (between 25-40% so that majority is always televoting). But obviously that's too complex, it won't happen.

I still think the winner will be Austria or France. And maybe Switzerland.

Ann Sophie (Germany 2015) wishes everyone a lot of fun tonight and hopes that "you will be getting more points than me" and she uploaded her performance of "Black Smoke" again saying that "at least I made some history". XD

I'm glad she can cope with th nil points like that nowadays

So apparently RTVE is asking for an official record of the spanish televote because they find really hard that Israel got 12 pts from the spanish televote. RTP is also preparing an official statement regarding the portuguese televote.

Awesome - are these broadcasters implying that the German company "Once" responsible for counting all televotes rigged the televoting to award 12 pts to Israel in these countries?

The EBU have never given full details about the televoting. Such delicate information would be too powerful in the wrong hands, e.g. manipulating the televoting in smaller countries.

Why now? - Last year, Israel received more than 300 pts.
What about all these 12 points to Moldova in 2021 or Ukraine 2022?

Yeah, but now since it's Israel - people think everything's rigged.

I really scratch my head what they want to achieve.

So the reason Estonia had only 4 jury members counting was because poor Alika had expressed her opinion publicly before it was allowed.

A televote winner not being first in any streaming platform of any country that participated in Eurovision this year... Israel included. Yeah, nothing strange at all.
