I like Elysa and I think she will do well
Minimal Wind has good song also
Tommy Cash is interesting, at least its not dirty, I think it could be a grower, not sure about winning, could and could not, I wanna see staging

Listened to a recap of the auto-finalists just now....tbh I'm not overly impressed with the selection. Nothing really stands out. Tomorrow Never Comes sounds like it has potential but it's a bit hard to tell from just a short clip.

Personally I prefer Supernova right now. Maybe the real heavy hitters of eesti laul will be in the semis?

listening to them now.

Elysa is IMPRESSIVELY bad. What the actual GARBAGE?!

Gem98 otoh... sublime! me and mauve and rainywoods will form a fan club in their honour when they're inevitably robbed by the HUMOURLESS SOWS that make up the Estonian voting audience.

I expected a bit more tbh. The section is not bad, but simply not very outstanding. Yet I will wait for the live performances, some might be able to elevate. For now, my top 3 are: hbluehpurplehgreen

Janek – Frozen
Ant – Tomorrow Never Comes
Stereo Terror – Prty Till The End Of The World

Finished!

Top 5: Gem98, Felin, Stereo Terror, Minimal Wind (lmfaoooo) and Zevakin (I guess?)

Worse than Supernova tbh! but Ant and Elysa are the only bad ones so I HOPE the irreverent brainrot that is Espressio Macchiato destroys them :-)

Speaking of Tommy Cash - the entry is a total joke, it's not a BAD joke but like... this is Leto Svet level. It will die in the semi. OH WELL, the Q - Q - NQ pattern continues for another cycle, I guess. :coffee:

Eh, if the televoters voted Finland through last year, I could see Tommy qualifying too. And IMO musically Tommy's song is much more catchy than Leto Svet was, which is pretty important for a fun/joke song. But obviously the vocals & staging would matter a lot, and how many other jokey entries we had. Juries would probably be less than impressed once he arrived in the final tho'. Another year of single-digit jury scores could be in our future if we send Tommy. But getting to the final would still be nice, should he manage it. :giggle:

I'd say my faves this year are Stereo Terror and Zevakin. :giggle: Stereo Terror would make a pretty nice entry (if they're good live) and would have decent chances to qualify. Zevakin's song seems very difficult to pull off live, but would be cool if he managed it! Tommy's song is pretty fun, tho' certainly not his best creation ever. But at least it's memorable in it's own silly way. An-Marlen has a nice chill bop. Ant's song is nice, tho' I was hoping for a bigger wow factor, the chorus feels a little lacking. The overall level is decent, we've had better and we've had worse. Last year had more songs I loved, but there are some good ones this time around too. :giggle: I'd say the most likely winners so far will be Tommy or Ant, with a couple of potential dark horses. Staging and vocals will matter a lot, and this time around we'll get no semis to judge things by!

There's also still the 16th song to come! Perhaps we'll have a Rändajad or Baby Lasagna situation, where the 'backup' song ends up being the best of the bunch and winning the whole thing. 16th-19th December, Raadio 2 will have an hour long show every evening playing almost all the submitted songs. Bit of a shame we'll only get to vote for 20 of them, but I guess I can see why they figured some 100+ songs would be too overwhelming for people. Still, would have been cool to be able to vote for any of them! But in any case, at least we get to hear them! How many (if any) gems were left out? Could we have had a much better lineup? Or were these jury picks actually the best of the bunch? I'm sure there will be some songs I would have swapped out given the chance, it shall be most interesting to see how many. :giggle: Maybe, if the public pick thing works out well, they can just have the audience pick the whole lineup next year! Tho' given our televoters taste sometimes, I'm not sure if the end result would be better. In any case, week after next shall be interesting!

"Külm" and "Ma ei tea sind" are phenomenal and it would be such a shame if Machiato wins since I find that song rather dull and unispiring.

my top 2 (after one hearing) are:
Räpina Jack feat. Kaisa Ling – Tule (really good ethno duet)
Elysa – The Last to Know (sweet ballad with special haunting voice)
...

I HATE joke entries!

Like Finland last year one of the worst entries ever, can't stand it, I hated LET3, even Baby Lassanga was just cringy to me.

But EM is literally so good, like musically as well! It's not boring at all, it's musically subtle and relies on lyrics to make it funny. I find it really good.

I love "Külm" and "Tule" - I think that they would stand out - even if we think of Eurovision's latest editions (I don't think that Tule would perform well in ESC but I love the folk duet!).

"Mi Amore" is fun, catchy and the good kind of trashy (like he's not trying to create something artsy-fartsy to get some artistic recognition). It's pure fun but I don't think that I would love to hear it in 2026-27 again and therefore, I really hope to see another song win in Eesti Laul.

This NF is soooo good xheat xyaaay
Excellent job Estonia! When I'll be looking back, Eesti laul will for sure be one of my highlights of the season. xcheer

I'll post my faves later, but rest assured Tommy Cash is the king and right below are the rockers, then after that a few surprises and two out of three usual suspects (no Tuuli Rand this time, sorry girl)
