01 Sissal – Hallucination 10/10
02 Tim Schou – Proud 8/10
03 Maria Mathea – Air 8/10
04 Adel the Second – The Unluckiest Boy Alive 4/10
05 Andreas Kruse – Hear My Prayer 4/10
06 Hervé Toure – Allez Allez 3/10
07 Max Ulver – Supernova 3/10
08 Mariya – I Belong to Me 2/10

Hallucination is one of the best songs in years from Denmark, i love it! I like also Tim and Maria, good songs.
Close to my view

I do think that the instrumentation of Hallucination sounds a bit cheap. But I've heard a similar sound in other NF songs too this year, so maybe it's a new trend I just haven't noticed.

I have now listened to all of them again. The only one I enjoyed listening to twice was Tim Schou's. It's authentic and that makes it better.
The co-called favourites like Sissal and Kruse I just don't get. Generic bla bla in my ears. Should go to Melfest instead…
So it's Tim Schou for me - but I fear Danes have bad taste :-(

:dk: doing :dk: things

I don’t know, I don’t have a clear favourite. I expected even more beige but it’s actually not as bad as expected. Still meh though.

Sissal - Hallucination 6,5/10
Adel the Second - The Unluckiest Boy Alive 6,5/10
Andreas Kruse - Hear My Prayer 6/10 - This song has good moments but I don’t like the high voice parts.
Maria Mathea - Air 5/10
Max Ulver - Supernova 4/10
Tim Schou - Proud 3/10 - :de: radio station officials would describe this one as :radio friendly“.
Hervé Toure - Allez Allez 3/10
Mariya - I Belong to Me 2/10

Tumblr, mostly.
lol this selection is dreadful but i did a double take at the Unluckiest Boy Alive.

There's blackpilling, there's morose cynicism and then there's IT'S A WONDER I HAVEN'T YET DIED, WHEN I'M THE UNLUCKIEST BOYYYY ALIIIIIVE :throws confetti everywhere:

GIVE ME A REASON TO NOT HIDE // GIVE ME A REASON TO NOT DIE :cheery cymbal:

To me radio friendly would be a song based on verse, pre-chorus and chorus. But Schou's song is like two songs in one and definitely not a typical song played on the radio. I think it's a brave composition, and it works quite well.

The various parts of the song may sound like something we've heard before. And I found some of it a bit too pretentious. But as a whole, it's not an ordinary or generic song. 'Hallucination' is.

This seems to be an unpopular opinion but I really like The Unluckiest Boy Alive. It's fun to listen to :D

I need either that song or Air to win. Everything else is so dull to me.

Denmark up at 16th in the odds! Not often you see that. And Norway is 27th.

The difference is quite understandable really. But of course, the usual Denmark bashing is still quite evident in various comments.

The big question is the live performances. Denmark has a bad tradition of disappontments when it comes to the singers' actual abilities on stage. (See the list above.)

Not sure if Denmark qualifies this year, but even if not, they will still do better than norway.

No clear winner for me, I even needed to repeat listening to all songs like 3 times to make my ranking, cause at first I just could only say if it's yes or no. It ended on 3 weak 'yes', 1 'idk/whatever', and 4 strong 'no'. Here is my full top and bye Denmark, see ya, I won't go back for any of those songs till your final live, not interested enough.

We're so different when it comes to taste in music that sometimes there's a thought in my head that you're trolling to make people angry :D

If there was a gun to my head and I had to pick one - I'd pick Air, if she drops the seagull sounds

Mariya Apollonia - "I Belong To Me" is so haunting...I love this voice so much... hred
I so hope this will be good live..
Dino Medanhodzic, Jimmy Joker Thörnfeldt, Julie Aagaard, Mariya Apollonia, BRAVO, a true Scandinavian team (:se::dk::no:)

"Allez Allez" is also awesome to me... One expects typical football song, but it is not, it is much more sophisticated and the blend of Danish language + afro beat + euro pop, gives it such a special charm..

Denmark has dropped quite a few places in the odds. I wonder if that has to do with uncertainty regarding Sissal's abilities as a live performer? I can't find anything regarding Sissal and live recordings. Which worries me, because Denmark has a long list of pre-show favourites that failed live.
