My friend thought this song was about corona. I explained to her actually corona is named after "crown" and the sound she hears "korona" is actually crown, but explaining these multiliguistic things to an only-Turkish speaker is actually more challenging than I thought. I don't think she was convinced this song is not about coronavirus.

I would love it if the event lasted a week and included a Czech national round. If ESCZ 2024 had two semifinal rounds (Tuesday, Thursday), with an afterparty on Saturday and the ESCZ Grand Final on Sunday (thinking about semifinal rounds in ESCZ is probably a long way off, though).

The short submission deadline was there already in the last few years. Last year it was even shorter than 1 month , when the deadline was in the last quarter of September while they announced the submissions at the beginning of the month.
