Lanskaya's song was a bout flash, simple choreo that can be repeated, and a catchy chorus. and the on notes she was supposed to belt out she was perfect.
Roberto's song also didn't rest on voice. at all. it was more about charm and mood on stage. He never claimed to be pitch perfect singer (although i do question the quality of The Voice competition that year, was that the best voice? doubt it)
point is. if you claim to be able to paint like Rembrandt, you better deliver a masterpiece, you you are Pollock that creates something using technique available to 5 year old, but capture with color and mood - nobody will demand an anatomically correct creature to be visible in your white noise.
