Nikki Ponte is too similar to Ivi in style, looks and pretty much everything else. I actually thought 2011 was a decent song just poorly executed so I'm hoping for something like that instead.

I think Nikki is a better performer on stage than Ivi. If Ivi has a good placing this year, Nikki can go next year (in Stockholm) and bring the victory to Cyprus!

We have to choose something way different next year. Something folk, something Greek. We can find a lot of artists from talent shows...
Stavros Konstantinou (He won Super Idol many years ago)
Polina Christodoulou (X Factor 2)
Elena Anagiotou (X Factor 3)
Or something rock/alternative, here we have the best two options:
Nikolas Metaxas (Runner up of X Factor 1)
Stavros Michalakakos (Winner of X Factor 2)
Harry Antoniou (Winner of X Factor 3)
If we want a strong ballad in English:
Ioanna Protopapa (X Factor 1)

Here we go again... How many times we have to say IT'S NOT US THAT DO NOT LET THEM TAKE PART IN THE TELEVOTING FOR GOODNESS SAKE?
We had Turkish Cypriots in national finals (in 2004 or 2006 there was a boy band of 4 GC and TC), and 2 years ago there was a Turkish Cypriot girl in the talent show where we chose our representative. It's something I've been saying for years, btw. A duet with a GC and a TC singer in Greek, Turkish and English, like Israel did in 2009, would be a good option.
I'd love Nikki Ponte, but she is a pop/dance artist, and you saw this year all the dance songs doing pretty bad... Well, Thomas G:Son composed her song "Remembering The Summer Nights", so if he composes for her a new "Euphoria", why not?

Also Valanto and Nicole from Greek Idol 1.
The best choices are Nikolas Metaxas (he has amazing voice but I think this has no chances because he is studing in Boston) and Nikki Ponte of course.

Yeah Valando would be nice too, Nicole is a bit silly to be honest, I cannot stand her, although she has a nice voice, she doesn't know how to speak!
They are both reasonable choices, none of them had any success so far. Valando only had one hit "Sti Dipla Thesi", and nothing more!

its quite a predicament for cyprus next year isnt it? what do they do, do they follow the poppy route this year that served them ok, and hope it continues, or do they go for the ethnic stylings like in 2008 and 2011, and hope that it finally clicks with the audiences. i would prefer either greece or cyprus to have a song not in english, or at least mixed, cause theyre just so beautiful (cyprus was robbed in both 2008 and 2011)
