According to news.am Armenian broadcaster will finish applying songs for Emmy on January 16 or January 17.

4-5 songs will participate in the NF.

They have already received 30 songs. From Armenia, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Germany, Russia ...

And yay for a Bulgarian song. I'll be happy in either way (good or bad ), as I want a Bulgarian song to do well but I also want that bitch to fail... 3

The deadline will be prolonged because they aren't satisfied with the quality of submitted entries.

But if they can give a booty shaker (something like Kalomira 2008 or Hadise 2009) it won't matter that much. It all comes down to the song really.

Her entry with Mihran 2010 was crap but her mother made Armenia chose her this year

There are rumors that American/Armenian rapper Mihran will join Emmy in Duesseldorf. Apparently Emmy herself mentioned that.

Agree!

A dancer who thinks he can rap and a singer with a weak voice. Atleast she could manage some booty-shake type of song alone and it would probably turn out pretty good if the song would be good enough, but a lame rapper will destroy any type of potential there might have been now.

I know why they do this because they're gonna market him as "dancer for Madonna", like people care? He is obviously a talented dancer and good looking lad, but as a rapper/singer he is a joke.

As it has already been announced that Emmy will represent Armenia at the upcoming contest, a new rumour has emerged that Mihran will be joining her in her bid.

This is slightly true as Emmy spoke with us today. Emmy told ESCDAILY.com in statement; “Mihran might be on the stage with me, but we dont have the best song, YET. If that song is going to be a fast one, Mihran will be in the show and everything. I asked Mihran if he wants to be with me in the show but he said to me let’s wait for that song – thats it!”

The Armenian NF will be held February 19th.

The winning song will be chosen by a 50% split of jury and public voting. The composers of the four shortlisted entries will be announced net week.
